Last Weekend For Carlotta's Cantina

Catfish Bay Marina has been around for more than 15 years but it's doors will soon be closing.  Saturday was one of the last days for one of the marina's biggest businesses.

It's no secret, the privatization of Lake Texoma is right around the corner.  The first big business to close down, Carlotta's Cantina.

It's been a staple of good times and some wild parties on the lake.  But privatization by Pointe Vista Development has forced Catfish Bay Marina out of business.

"It's very sad. This is our business, this is our life and we're going to miss it tremendously." says owner Sherri Williams.

The cantina has been in business since 1999, Williams says it was originally a place for folks on the lake to grab a drink before dinner.  Since then, it's transformed into one of the most well-known party spots in the area.

"We bring in people from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas. It's well known, people are gong miss the Carlotta's they know."

Once Pointe Vista takes over there's rumors they'll be opening an upscale bar in the same location called 'The Rooster Creek Club'.
