SILO, Oklahoma (KTEN)- The Silo Rebels secured their 22nd straight spring state tournament appearance last week when they swept Oklahoma Christian School in super regional action.

This is a squad that has won six-straight spring titles. However this year presents a new challenge as the Rebels moved up from 2A to 3A.

They'll open the 3A tournament on Thursday in the quarterfinals against #3 Washington.

Now this Silo team won't be the flashiest squad you've ever seen, but they certainly know how to play to their strengths.

"We're not going to hit bombs this year, I'll tell you that," Silo senior centerfielder Shawn Weaver said. "We just got to hit the ball on the ground hard and just bunt it."

"I'd say what's clicking between us is the bond," Silo senior left fielder Kacey Spaulding said. "Backing each other when someone makes a mistake or an error, or just small ball, getting the job done when it needs to be done."
