EDMOND, Okla. (KTEN) - A 28 year old man arrested for first degree homicide Thursday in connection to the 2016 death of a 19 year old woman.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper responded to a welfare check call where they found Joseph Tyler Beck sitting on the side of I-40 near the Reno/Scott Street exit, in Oklahoma City.

When the trooper went to check on him, Beck began voluntarily telling him about his involvement in the death of Jennifer Kyli Molloy.

Molloy was found dead in an Edmond apartment on October 5th, 2016. It was ruled a suspicious death, but detectives said the investigation never led to any arrests.

Beck was taken to the Edmond Police Department where he was interviewed by detectives. He was then placed under arrest, and is being held in the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
