Wednesday Afternoon- Heatin' up out there this afternoon! Temperatures climb to the upper 80s and low 90s due to compressional warming. With dew points in the low to mid 70s, it's possible that we feel close to the triple digits. Be sure to stay hydrated! Luckily a cold front is on the way to bring relief, but it will bring a chance for storms. Areas of east of HWY 69 have the best chance of storms. A level 3 out of 5 risk is in place for our southeastern counties. Large hail is the highest concern with any storms. There's also a threat for damaging winds up to 80 mph and a low but non-zero tornado threat. Timing will be from 4 pm through midnight.

Looking Ahead - Southern portions of Texoma have been added to the risk for severe weather Thursday. As storms develop south of us near DFW, they continue to lift north and could maintain strength just south of the Red River. Winds to 60 mph and quarter size hail will be possible along with heavy rain. Temperatures and humidity are trending downward into our Mother's Day weekend. Another round of rain arrives late Saturday night into Sunday. If you have plans for Mom, be sure they involve being indoors as it could be soggy at times!
