LOVE COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a highway crash that left a Dallas motorist dead and four others hurt early Sunday morning.

It happened just before 2 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 about one mile north of Marietta.

Two vehicles were involved in the wreck. The driver of a sport utility vehicle was killed; he was identified as 27-year-old Andres J. Vasquez of Dallas.

Two Sulphur adults and two children in a second SUV were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Passenger Carolyn A. Brown, 39, of Sulphur, Oklahoma, was airlifted to Medical City Hospital in Denton, Texas with internal and leg injuries. The driver and the children, ages 5 and 10, were treated and released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
