WILSON, Okla. (KTEN)  — Wilson junior Parker Eubanks has been a part of FFA since his freshman year, choosing to show pigs during those three years.

"My buddy Collin Wharton, from Maverick Livestock, he introduced me to showing pigs, and so, I kinda got into it, and I've been showing with him ever since." Eubanks said.

Now, his time in FFA will prove beneficial through much of his college career after a record breaking showing at the Oklahoma Youth Expo.

"I ended up getting 18th overall Dark Cross, and third overall Light Cross Barrow."

Parker sold both of his pigs for a combined $40,000, including selling his dark cross gilt for $37,000, which is a Wilson school record.

"That doesn't happen very often, so he's set the bar pretty high. He's got some high standards to step up to next year." Said Wilson Ag Advisor Sharla Carlile. Carlile has been at Wilson Public Schools for 6 years.

After graduation, Parker plans to use his earnings to help further his education.

"Hopefully I can go to college with a little bit of that money and get my diploma.” Eubanks stated. “I really wanna get into business, so it may be Agricultural business."

"We're all proud of them because they're all our kids." Said Carlile.
