SHERMAN, Texas -- Sherman police are trying to track down stolen construction equipment.

The gear disappeared sometime last Thursday from the site of a new QT convenience store in the 100 block of FM 1417. A cargo trailer on site was stolen with construction tools and materials inside.

The stolen equipment is valued at $30,000.

"Trailers -- especially if they are not secured properly -- they are a high theft item," said police spokesman Sgt. Brett Mullen. "If you do leave a trailer out available to the public,,make sure you get it locked up properly so it's less susceptible to being stolen."

Investigators say they have are no suspects at this time. Call police if you observed any suspicious activity.
