ARDMORE, Okla. -- Do you live in Oklahoma? Do you have unused or unneeded drugs in your medicine cabinet?

The Safe Trips for Scripts program lets people drop those products into a box, where they will be properly disposed of by Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agents.

It's aimed at keeping unused medicines off the streets.

"People dump them out there in the trash," Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant said. "You got people all over the county and other counties that are going through and digging through people's trash."

Carter County residents can drop their medicines off at the sheriff's office at 100 South Washington Street.
