DENISON, Texas -- Heading back to school can be expensive, no matter how you look at it.

But Denison's Ruiz Foods is seeing to it that foster kids won't stress out. The company is teaming up with the Grayson County Child Welfare Board to donate school supplies to them.

This yearly tradition, now nearly a decade old, lets children be prepared when the school bell rings.

"We get most of our funding from fundraisers and donations," said welfare board member Keith Muldrew. "Ruiz has been a great partner for us. We wouldn't be able to do the things that we do without the help from our partners."

Nearly $500 worth of supplies were donated by Ruiz employees.
