CARTER COUNTY, Okla. -- Visitors to Lake Murray State Park dealt with a power outage Monday that stretched for more than eight hours.

Officials said a delivery truck caught a power line and brought down an a utility pole. That put the area in the dark about 11 a.m.

The park didn't let any visitors in or out during the blackout, which affected the cabins, the lodge and the main park office.

Donna Addison, who was staying at the Lake Murray Lodge, ran out for a quick errand right before the power went out.. When she came back, she was forced to wait to return to her room until crews could make repairs.

"Not even a mile away to get a bag of ice, and come back and stupid Coca-Cola delivery truck knocked down the power line," she said, adding that the outage couldn't have come at a worse time for her.

"We have a boat rental in an hour that I've already paid $400 for, so -- yes, I am inconvenienced," Addison said.

"We talked to OG&E; they're working on it right now to try to get it all fixed as fast as they can," said the park's assistant manager, Joseph Hahn.

Power was restored to Lake Murray around 7:30 p.m.
