LAKE TEXOMA --  A biannual inspection is underway at the Roosevelt Memorial Bridge spanning Lake Texoma and linking Marshall and Bryan counties in Oklahoma.

The work on the two-lane span has caused a few delays for motorists.

During the routine inspection, workers are looking for damage or cracks that may have formed due to the elements.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the Roosevelt Bridge is not considered to be a "structurally deficient" bridge, even though it's been carrying traffic for 71 years now.

The inspection began on Tuesday and traffic on U.S. 70 should be back to normal on Thursday.
