Police nab burglary suspect after two-county chase

Posted: Updated:

DICKSON, Okla. --- A suspected liquor store burglar led law enforcement on a high-speed chase through Marshall and Carter counties on Friday afternoon.

Kingston police said the pursuit started in that city and ended on Daisy Lane in Dickson after a spike strip was able to slow the fleeing car.

Kingston Chief John Bridgeman said no one was hurt, but there were some close calls along the way.

"He almost ran several state workers off the road," Bridgeman said. "There were approximately 15 to 20 vehicles he almost hit head-on. The high speeds were about 137, so I'm glad to have this guy in custody."

The identity of the man has not been released.
