DENISON, Texas -- The Grayson County Shelter, which offers services for the homeless, is asking for help to fill food bowls.

The shelter's pantry has run low on supplies for their community take-home boxes. The boxes contain about a week's worth of food for those who come in off the street.

The contents are supplied only by donations.

Shelter director Annette Limoges said they have temporarily halted the service until they can restock.

"I think what we've been doing is just doing our best to get everybody what they need... or a portion of what they need... to help," she said.

The Grayson County Shelter, at 331 West Morton Street, is seeking non-perishable items, and is hoping to restart the community take-home box service next week.

Visit the shelter's website for specific information about the types of supplies that are needed.
