Heather Thompson is a mother of 4, mid-30s, and a typical busy mom and businesswoman. What started as a part-time business with a few women’s clothing racks in her mother’s formal wear store in Mississippi one and a half years ago is now taking the nation by storm with two retail stores and an online shopping experience.

It all started because Heather believed that traditional clothing sizes didn’t celebrate the fact that women come in all shapes and sizes.

According to Heather, “We’re perfect just the way we are, and our clothes should reflect that. I wanted to make the forgotten woman feel good.”

“We all know that woman”, she says, “the one who has an after school activity for each kid every day, the one who chases a two year old through the grocery store, the one who has gotten her last baby into college and realizes she’s forgotten who she is. I wanted to help that woman get her “Vibe” back!”

Heather says she is “rewriting the rules of women’s clothing” by offering stylish, affordable womens clothing with two types of sizings. First, according to Heather, is the “Tailored Fit”.” Our tailored garments fit true to typical retail sizes”, she says. “They have a slimmer fit and shorter length for our smaller ladies. Great for petite women and ladies that want a fitted silhouette”.

Then there is the “Traditional Fit.” According to Heather, “traditional fit offers a little more room to move. It features a flowy, loose fit and a longer length than our tailored garments. That means our sleeves are a little longer and the lengths of our dresses and tops are a little longer. This creates an overall roomier silhouette and is great for women with larger body sizes.”

“I wanted to create a safe space, a happy place,” she says, “for that forgotten group of women that struggle with juggling a career, kids and everything life throws at them and then feel they have to sacrifice style for comfort because of their body size.”

Within just a few months of her clothing racks being in her mothers store Heather’s business model took off and her clothing began to take over her mothers store. This is how “Vibe Clothing Company” was born”, she says.

Heather moved into one then quickly expanded into two retail locations officially as Vibe Clothing Company and also started an online business that mirrors the retail stores at vibeclothingcompany.com. Only in business since July of 2017 as “Vibe Clothing Company” Heather’s women’s clothing business is already ranked in the top 1% for growth and traffic in their category by their shopping cart provider (Shopify) as well as on Facebook, compared to similar businesses that launched at the same time.

And just in this short time, as of this writing because it is changing in droves daily, they’ve gained over 15,000 followers on Facebook, tons of glowing 5 star reviews from their customers and a growing, vibrant community of “Vibe Tribers” as their lady customers like to call themselves.

If anyone was to ask what makes Vibe Clothing Company stand out Heather will tell you it is because they are size inclusive, provide clothing with exceptional comfort, style and price, and incomparable customer service.

What seems to drive their passion is because, in the words of their founder, “Vibe is focused on the principles of making all women feel beautiful no matter age, shape, size, or style and centering our spotlight to women 30 and up by dressing them in affordable, boutique-style clothes made for women’s bodies.

Whatever she is doing, it appears to be working beyond expectations, a further testament that you can do anything you set out to accomplish if you work hard enough and are passionate.
