SHERMAN, Texas -- Whoops. The drive-thru window was about 20 feet to the right.

Police arrested John Conrad Lewis, 41, for driving while intoxicated after he crashed into the front of the Southern Maid Donuts shop on Loy Lake Road around 5 a.m.

The business opened to customers a short time later while construction workers began repairs.

Manager Lucia Guajardo was called by her bakers minutes after the crash happened.

"When I get here, I just saw the car. Somebody hit the wall and I just saw the car, but nobody was there," she said.

Guajardo said she expects her shop will be able to maintain its regular hours while repairs are completed.
