GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas -- A three-hour manhunt Sunday night ended with the capture of an escapee from Grayson County's Low Risk Detention Center at North Texas Regional Airport.

Sheriff's office spokeswoman Capt. Sarah Bigham said 23-year-old inmate Andrew Pruitt fled the facility shortly before 7:30 p.m. wearing an orange jumpsuit and no shoes.

Multiple agencies -- including police from Denison, Pottsboro, Gunter, Southmayd and Grayson College, Texas Parks and Wildlife officers and a K-9 unit from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice -- helped in the effort to locate Pruitt around 10:30 p.m.  He was still in the perimeter that had been established by law enforcement.

Bigham said Pruitt has been transferred to the county jail in Sherman, facing escape charges added to a list of previous charges that include assault with bodily injury and possession of a controlled substance.
