MADILL, Okla. -- Marshall County voters have overwhelmingly approved a plan to continue a one-percent sales tax earmarked for the local hospital.

The AllianceHealth Madill medical facility will continue to receive the proceeds of that sales tax after 66 percent of voters endorsed it.

The funds will let the hospital to provide health care to those who can't afford it, and will also help pay for any future renovations the hospital may need.
