Boil order issued for Sardis Lake water users

Posted: Updated:

PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, Okla. -- More than 3,000 Texomans get their drinking water from Sardis Lake in Pushmataha County.

If you are one of them, be sure to boil that water before drinking it or using it for cooking until further notice.

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality issued the boil order due to cloudiness and mud in the water, and the loss of pressure following a water main break.
