ANTLERS, Okla. -- Four people connected to a toddler who was found by police on the side of the road in Antlers on Saturday evening appeared in court on Tuesday.

Antlers police filed to request child neglect charges against all four individuals.

"I've been in law enforcement for going on six years," said Antlers police investigator Officer Keith Capps. "This is my first time ever running across something that I would take this serious."

The hearing was continued until Wednesday.

The two-year-old boy was found on the side of a road some 65 yards from his home, wearing only a diaper during a storm.

Police said the child was found with several bruises, cuts, and bites.
