HUGO, Okla. -- The Choctaw County Sheriff's Office has issued an alert for a person of interest after a shooting in Hugo.

Tarsey King, 18, is being sought in connection with the Thursday night incident on South 6th Street.

"From information gathered, it sounds like there might have been selling of an item, and the person of interest that came there took the item and shot him," said Sheriff Terry Park.

The victim was taken to a hospital in Plano and was last reported in stable condition.

King was said to have been driving an older silver Ford sedan.

If you have any information, contact Hugo police or the Choctaw County Sheriff's office at 580-326-5600.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is the lead agency in the case.

The same Hugo residence where Thursday night's shooting occurred was also the scene of a robbery and fatal shooting in 2015. Jamie Robinson, 28, died in that incident. Three suspects were arrested earlier this year in connection with that crime.
