DENISON, Texas -- A Denison veteran is asking for help after a theft with a deep emotional connection.

Police said James Holt's trailer and Craftsman riding mower were stolen from his home last week. The trailer had been custom-built by Holt's son.

"It is very very important that I get this trailer back," a distraught Holt told KTEN. "My boy built this trailer for me, and I lost my boy last week."

It was a project that Jamie Lynn Holt spent almost eight months assembling. His dad said he would give anything to have it returned to him.

"I don't know what kind of price to put on the trailer... it's just priceless to me," Holt said. "I've got to have the trailer back one way or another."

The 10-foot trailer has diamond-plated floorboards and a hand crank on the side to let the back of the trailer up and down. It has a bulldog hitch and it might also have the initials "J.H." somewhere on a flat space of the trailer.

If you've seen the trailer or mower or know were they can be found, contact Denison police at 903-465-2422.
