SHERMAN, Texas -- An accused killer is now behind bars in Sherman.

After being captured in Mount Vernon, New York, on October 13, Reginald Campbell has been extradited back to Grayson County.

Campbell is one of three people charged in the robbery and murder of Sherman hotel clerk Brandon Hubert on August 11.

Campbell is in the Grayson County Jail facing capital murder charges. Bond was set at $1 million.

The district attorney's office said Campbell's case will go to a grand jury within the four weeks.

"There was supposedly a crime committed, and he's being accused of it at this point. We're going to have to wait and see if the grand jury indicts him,"  defense attorney Bob Jarvis said.  Then prosecutors will have to decide if they will see the death penalty.

"If they do that, then of course it changes everything," Jarvis added. "So that's a decision the DA's office will make, and then everything will fall from there."

Jarvis said most capital murder cases take about a year before a verdict is reached.
