MARSHALL COUNTY, Okla. -- A home near Kingston is a complete loss after a fire on Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters arrived around 3:30 to find the residence on Powell Road completely engulfed in flames.

Two women lived in the house, but only one of them home when the fire started. She was not injured, but they may have lost some pets.

Five different departments teamed up to bring the fire under control. Chief Dallas Scribner of the Willis-Powell Volunteer Fire Department said an electrical malfunction may have sparked the blaze.

"It's sad to see somebody lose their property; that's the downside of this job," he said. "It just breaks your heart, it tears you up just a little bit, but you've got to move past it and get your job done.

Hope for Marshall County is accepting donations for the women.
