Standoff Ends with OHP Trooper & Police Officer Shot

SULPHUR, OK -- Two officers are shot and a Sulphur woman is in serious condition after a standoff at a local business.   

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a woman with a gun barricaded herself inside the Super Mutt dog grooming salon at the corner of 12th and Broadway St. in Sulphur at about 3pm Monday afternoon.  

Following a five hour standoff, police say the 35 year-old woman who goes by the name of "Lisa" fired at officers hitting a trooper in the leg and a Sulphur police officer in the back. 

Officers returned fire hitting the woman.

She's listed in serious condition.

Authorities say the woman had been distraught over relationship issues.  

Both the officers hit are listed in good condition at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital.
