Matt Weber to Pauls Valley

PAULS VALLEY, OK -- The Pauls Valley Panthers aren't looking too far for their next football coach. Superintendent Darsha Huckabaa confirms to KTEN that former Ada head coach Matt Weber has been offered and has accepted the job.

Huckabaa will make the recommendation to the Pauls Valley Board of Education at their next scheduled meeting, which will be February 11. Pending the Board's approval, Weber will take over at the Panther helm.

Weber would replace Bill Green, who resigned after posting a 5-15 record over two seasons.

Weber would resign as the Cougar head coach just a couple months ago after finishing his seven years there with a 50-29 record.

He tells KTEN it's a good situation, a good place to call home. He's excited and ready and hopes to get more kids to come out for football.

Huckabaa adds she thinks Weber is a great fit for the program and she hopes Weber will be in Pauls Valley for a long time.
