Sherman starts two-a-days

SHERMAN, TX -- The "Cats" down south of the Red River are back on the grass as Sherman would open up fall camp.

They'd have to wait a week since they're a Texas Class 5A squad that would participate in spring ball.

It's been a busy off-season for the maroon and white as head coach Bill Patterson would make it just in time for spring training. They'd spend the summer months working hard under and ex-NFL star.

Now it's time to get to work as they'll face a tough 10-5A with teams like McKinney North, Wylie and, of course, Denison.

Patterson says he thinks the magic number of district wins to clinch playoffs is five, their goal though is to take them all.

"Like everybody else, we're expecting to win every game. Whether that happens or not, I don't know, but we're expecting to go out and win every game," he said.
