DURANT, OK -- Just in time for summer, a Bryan County casino opens its newly-renovated pool.

The Choctaw Casino Resort calls it the Oasis.

The hotel tells us the 11,000 square-foot expansion was done by Denison-based Allison Landscape and Pool Company.

It includes two swim up bars and a "grotto" area with a fireplace and waterfall.

You can also order food and rent cabanas. It's part of an effort to up the amenities to "Las Vegas style."

"We're trying to develop more of a resort experience for our guests as they come up to the casino and the hotel, so they can enjoy not only the gaming side of it, but more of a resort type of environment," says pool and spa director Mark Amoriello.

The old pool is being designated as more family friendly, although children are still allowed in the new part.

A huge addition to the casino is set to be open by next summer.
