Grayson County experiencing problems with 911 system

Posted: May 09, 2014 2:24 PM CST
GRAYSON COUNTY -- A 911 system used by emergency dispatchers in Grayson County is experiencing technical issues.

According to a Facebook post by the Grayson County Office of Emergency Management
, "A temporary solution has been put into place by Verizon that will allow folks to again call 9-1-1. However, we are still operating at a reduced level of service: your address and location information will not accompany your call so if you need emergency assistance please be prepared to provide this information to the 9-1-1 call taker answering the call."
