ADA – The East Central University football team will be hosting Tiger Youth and NFL High School Player Development camps for the second-straight year. The Tiger Youth Football Camp will be June 17-18 and the NFL High School Player Development Camp is set for June 18-20 at Norris Field.
Tiger Youth Camp is for students who will have completed kindergarten through 8th grade and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 17-18 at Norris Field. The camp will focus on football fundamentals and character development.
Participants can come as a team or individually, with the cost being $80 per person. The camp fee includes a t-shirt, refreshments, pictures and awards. Participants are required to bring cleats, tennis shoes, sunscreen, appropriate clothing, and medical and liability forms.
The NFL High School Player Development Camp, in conjunction with the National Guard, is a FREE camp for current 9th-12th graders, June 18-20 at Norris Field. The camp will start at 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 18 and conclude Friday, June 20 at noon. The camp was developed by the University of Washington and has a curriculum designed to instill the fundamentals of football.
The camp concludes with a 7-on-7 tournament, with the winning team qualifying to compete at the Cowboys regional 7-of-7 Tournament in Dallas, Texas at the Dallas Cowboy Training Facility, Saturday, June 21.
The cost of the camp is free, but participants can choose to add 2-nights of room with five meals for $90.
Deadline to sign up for the room and meals portion of the camp is June 5. Space for the camp is limited to 300 participants. For more information on the camp visit www.nflhspd.com.
