MSC soccer holding open tryouts

ARDMORE, OK -- Murray State College will hold an open tryout for the 2014 women’s and men’s soccer teams on Sunday, May 4. Tryouts will be held at Cardinal Park in Ardmore, Oklahoma from 4:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. Participants must be eligible to play college level soccer. To participate in the tryout, interested players should complete the tryout registration form and the liability waiver form on the MSC website. Those forms, plus proof of a current physical should be brought to the tryout.

Soccer was added to the roster of Murray State College athletics earlier this year. The first Aggies will hit the field for the fall 2014 season under the leadership of Head Coach Shane Ross.  The teams will compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 2 with four other teams.  Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa and Northeastern Oklahoma A & M already have soccer programs in place.  Rose State College and Eastern Oklahoma State College join MSC in debuting programs in the upcoming fall season.  Murray State College will compete in the NJCAA Division III.

Interested players are encouraged to tryout and become a part of Murray State College history. More information can be found at
