DENISON, TX -- An effort to raise big money for several charities across Grayson County tonight.

The Sherman Service League is holding its 59th annual Charity Ball at the Palazzo event hall in Denison.

League member Kerri Hull says they are hoping to raise $90,000, and they have taken in as much as $70,000 in the past.

A total of 15 non-profits from around Grayson County have applied to get funds from the League in association with the event.

Hull says more than 400 people turned out and this year's theme is Red Carpet Nashville.
