BRYAN COUNTY -- The OSBI has released the identity of a man they believe was murdered in Bryan County Tuesday.

They say the victim is Steven Lee Sessums, 32, and that on his last book-in sheet, he stated he was homeless.

Raymond Stewart was arrested Tuesday and charged with first degree murder.

Durant police say Stewart claims he met the Sessums at a bar in Durant on Friday night then at another location Saturday morning when he killed him. The OSBI says a passerby spotted it.

Police say Stewart dumped the body near Kanola Creek on Old Highway 70 east of Durant.

Stewart is being held in the Bryan County on a $2 million dollar bond.

The medical examiner has determined Sessums died from blunt force trauma to his head and neck.
