FBI investigating Angels of Care businesses in Sherman & Howe

Posted:

SHERMAN -- Members of the Dallas FBI could be seen coming in and out of the Angels of Care businesses Thursday morning.

The companies are located in two places along U.S. Highway 75.

Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health and Angels of Care Medical Equipment and Supply is in Sherman south of Shepherd Drive.

Angels of Care Delivery Service is in Howe just off Haning Street.

Law enforcement sources say a search warrant was executed at all three locations as part of a Medicaid fraud investigation.

An FBI spokesperson could only confirm the presence FBI and Texas Medicaid personnel and that the activity is part of an ongoing investigation.

According to the company's website, Angels of Care has at least 12 branch offices in Texas but has corporate headquarters in Sherman.

The locations in Grayson County were closed Thursday but employees say only the corporate office will be closed Friday and are planning to report to work.

Phone calls were not answered at the numbers listed on the company's website, but were being forwarded to an after-hours line.

No charges have been filed.
