Denison Man Sentenced After Crash With Motorcycle

SHERMAN, TX -- A Denison man was sentenced to five years of probation following an accident in Sherman.

Frederick Haupert II, 31, allegedly struck the back of a motorcycle at a stoplight in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway back in January, according to court documents.

That caused the biker to be jostled and hit himself on the gas tank, and then when Haupert got out to help, his car was still in drive and hit the motorcycle again, police reports stated.

Police said Haupert then fled the scene, but his license plate was still stuck to the bike. Haupert pleaded guilty on Thursday to a charge of accident involving injury.
