SHERMAN, TX -- The Sherman Bearcats are heading into their district bout against Royse City on a two game losing streak putting them at 1-2 in district play.
As it stands they're in a three way tie with Lovejoy and Royse City in fifth place. With a win though they'd have a good shot at putting themselves in a good position to make 13-4A's fourth and final playoff spot.
Head coach Gary Kinne knows if they do have postseason aspirations they have to leave R.C. with a 'W.'
"I think mathematically we need to win three of our last four to get in, but it also depends on who you lose to and who you beat. So that will always play a role in tie breakers. If you win all four, you know you're in. If you only win three of the four, you may be in a tie, if you only win two of the four you're staying home. So, we know that and we know what's in front of us and obviously we can't afford to lose this week. That's not one of the games we can afford to lose," he said.
Kick-off Friday at 7:30 p.m.
