CARTWRIGHT, OK - A fire burns a vacant house in Bryan County, and firefighters consider it suspicious.

It happened around 11p.m. Friday night on Nichols Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to find the house fully engulfed.

Since no one has lived at the house in months, firefighters and neighbors are left wondering how a fire could have started there.

Just last month, three fires burned vacant structures in Cartwright.

"A department like ours that runs on average ten structure fires a year to have 4 within thirty days is a red flag," said David Bray, Cartwright Assistant Fire Chief.

Cartwright and Colbert firefighters responded to the fire.

They are referring it to the state fire marshal's office for investigation.
