DURANT, OK -- There is no doubt Durant basketball coach Jason Wilkerson knows the game of basketball.
It's been nine years since he's laced 'em up and played competitively, but what he achieved on the hardwood has not been forgotten.
Next month Wilkerson will be inducted into East Central University's Athletic Hall of Fame.
He'll join two others and forever be enshrined alongside former Tiger superstars such as Mark Gastineau and Todd Graham.
Wilkerson played at ECU from 1999 to 2004 leading the Lonestar Conference in scoring during the '02-'03 season.
He's remains fourth all-time in scoring and rebounding in school history.
When he got the e-mail last week from director of athletics Jeff Williams, he was overjoyed.
"I was extremely honored. It was, I'm reading the e-mail, as I was reading it I was getting goose bumps and it was, it's pretty special. All your life you play basketball, or do something and to be honored for what you were able to do is pretty special," he said.
Wilkerson will be inducted Feb. 2 between the ECU women's and men's basketball games.
