POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, OK - Moments after his arraignment the suspect in yesterdays murder left the courtroom in shackles.

Pottawatomie county sheriff's investigators say 18-year old Jerrod Murray shot a fellow classmate in the head yesterday morning and left him in a ditch.

Today he was arraigned in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office has identified the 18 year old victim.  School officials say Generro Sanchez was a freshman at ECU and lived on campus.  Deputies found his body along side a county road just north of Asher Oklahoma.  He had been shot in the head.

Murray, who was also a student at ECU seemed to show no emotion or remorse as he left the courthouse.  Here's what he had to say when a reporter caught up with him right after the arraignment:  "Are you sorry for what you did?"  "Yes mam."  "Do you feel any remorse?"  "No mam."

Deputies say Murray admitted to shooting Sanchez and dumping his body in a ditch.  They say he was found walking 2 miles from the scene.

A preliminary hearing has been set for January 8th.  Murray's being held in the Pottawatomie county jail with no bond.
