The Two Collide Head-On, Killing One

A father and son, both fighting a grass fire in separate vehicles, have a head-on collision in Atoka County this afternoon, killing one of them.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 61-year-old John Myers was driving a Wesley Fire Department pickup and dealing with the grass fire.
At the same time, his son, 31-year-old Juston Myers, was driving a truck and also working the fire.
Officers say the two could not see each other because of the thick smoke from the blaze and hit head-on.
The father, John Myers,  died at the scene.
Juston Myers was treated at the scene.
Juston's passenger, Clayton Rice of Pittsburg was hospitalized in good condition.
