SHERMAN, TX -- The nation's largest health insurer and North Texas' largest hospital system have reached an agreement on a new contract.

If they didn't, 1.3 million patients would have been forced to find new doctors. Sherman residents don't have to worry. Blue Cross Blue Shield will cover Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ (formerly Wilson N. Jones) patients.

Details of the multiyear contract between Texas Health Resources and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas have not been disclosed.

The two organizations almost didn't agree on a contract as they neared the December 31st deadline.
