SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — It's a busy time for construction in Grayson County as the US 75 northbound frontage road is scheduled for overnight work in Sherman, plus there are pavement projects coming up throughout Whitesboro.

Starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, the US 75 northbound frontage road between the eastbound and westbound US 82 frontage roads in Sherman will be closed until Friday morning at 6 a.m.

Northbound frontage road traffic will detour along US 82; eastbound frontage road motorists will be redirected to Loy Lake Road.

Main lanes on US 82 heading west will also close. At Exit 642, traffic traveling west on US 82 main lane will divert to the us 82 frontage road.

"There's good because Sherman is growing and all the surrounding towns are growing. It's going to allow more commute through Sherman where 72 and 85 don't get so congested," said Ishmael Amaro, a Sherman Commuter.

In early June, a pavement overlay project on a portion of US 82 near Whitesboro will begin.
