DURANT, Oklahoma (KTEN)- Southeastern's dream of an NCAA Division II tournament berth will be on the line the next couple of days at the GAC men's basketball tourney.

The Savage Storm enter as the number one seed having clinched a share of the GAC regular season title this past Saturday.

They will face eighth-seeded Southern Arkansas Thursday at 5:45 p.m. in Shawnee in the quarterfinals.

Southeastern is certainly peaking at the right time. It has won 12 of its last 13 games heading into this tournament.

But the most important stat could be the eighty plus points the Savage Storm have put up in their last six games.

"We talk about defense, but the bottom line is you got to make shots," Southeastern head coach Kelly Green said. "When you get open you have to make shots. The team that can do that consistently will walk away probably with the championship on Sunday."
