ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — Body camera footage obtained by KTEN shows Carter County Sheriff Chris  Bryant being pulled over for speeding.

The incident happened just after 6 p.m. on January 14. An Ardmore police officer clocked Bryant's vehicle traveling 15 mph above the limit on US 70 coming.

Bryant told KTEN he was driving to the sheriff's office to take care of paperwork.

In the recording, Bryant claimed this was the third time in the last six months the same Ardmore officer had pulled him over for speeding.

"The interaction was a little frustrating, but, you know, I was speeding, and I asked him five times for a speeding ticket," the sheriff said. "Every law enforcement officer has a way they want to do traffic stops,  and I am not one to judge an officer on how they do their job... just as long as they do their job."

KTEN reached out to Ardmore police regarding the video and they declined to comment.

Sheriff Bryant said he's spoken with the Ardmore city manager and interim police chief about the matter, and said it has since been resolved.
