Ada football coach headed back to Wynnewood
WYNNEWOOD, Okla. (KTEN) — After three seasons at Ada, Brad O'Steen is heading back to Wynnewood to take over the Savages' football program.
O'Steen previously coached at Wynnewood from 2009 to 2013, where he compiled a 46-15 record.
He has had quite an impact during his tenure at Ada High School. After a 3-7 finish in his first season, O'Steen led the Cougars to 11 wins and a state semifinal appearance this year.
He will look to point Wynnewood back in the right direction. The savages finished 4-6 this year, and only have one winning season in the last five years.
In a statement provided to KTEN, Ada Athletic Director Christie Jennings said Ada's search for the Cougars' next head football coach will begin immediately.
Jennings also said:
"Coach O'Steen has worked very hard leading the Cougar Football Program the last few years. He had a great 2023 season topped off by a semifinal run. We appreciate his efforts in both football and track. I am positive that his work ethic will lead to immediate success for the Wynnewood Savages. Our athletic department and Ada City Schools wish he and his family the best of luck."
