HUGO, Okla. (KTEN) — Two people are under arrest in the case of the toppled tower.

Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park identified the suspects as Candice Logan, 34, and Matt Wilson, 37.

Early Tuesday morning, vandals who stole copper pipe from the KITX-FM transmitter site near Hugo, Oklahoma, caused a 500-foot antenna to fall, knocking the station off the air.

Police in Paris, Texas, said Thursday that the the suspects crossed the Red River and took the stolen copper to Paris Iron and Metal to sell it.

The staff there called police, who were able to identify a person of interest who is an Oklahoma resident.

Sheriff Park said Logan and Wilson are Choctaw County residents.

A Fannin County radio tower was toppled on January 16, 2024 after thieves stole cables that held the tower up.
