SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — After four days of trial, justice was served Thursday for three sexual assault victims in Grayson County.

A jury found 20-year-old Lazziert Gray guilty of one count each of sexual assault and burglary of habitation intending to commit another felony.

The verdict followed emotional testimony from victims and from Gray’s mother.

Gray was sentenced to life and a $10,000 fine for sexual assault and a 60-year prison term and a $10,000 fine for the burglary charge.

While Gray was only indicted on one count of sexual assault, he has three confirmed victims, two of whom testified in the trial and punishment phase.

Gray has been in confinement since the assault on February 2, 2021; he was 17 years old at the time.

Gray must serve at least 30 years of his term before he is eligible for parole.
