GUNTER, Texas (KTEN) - The expectations are Round Rock or bust for Gunter baseball but the Tigers are taking it one series at a time as they remain undefeated in the UIL playoffs.

Gunter swept Rains in the regional quarterfinals but had to play a pair of close, low-scoring games (1-0, 3-1) to move on. As they get ready for Tatum this week, they're hoping that close-game experience will help.

"All those experiences pay off for you down the road because you can reflect back on them and relate," said Gunter head coach Daryl Hellman. "It'll help mature us I think."

Gunter will play a best-of-three series against Tatum, with all games being played at North Forney. Game one will be Wednesday at 7 p.m., game two will be Friday at the same time and if a third game is necessary it will be Saturday at 1 p.m.
