DENISON, Texas (KTEN) - Grayson College softball is headed to the NJCAA Division 1 World Series. The lady Vikings were placed as the six seed and will face 11th-seeded Bossier Parish in the first round.

These players knows what second place feels like, and this year they have a feeling of what it takes to get that first place feeling.

"Coming together and playing for each other instead of ourselves," sophomore pitcher Bailey Ross said. "Being a team and not being each individual position."

"What we have this year is something so spectacular," sophomore outfielder Azia Lokeni said. "Just the chemistry that we all have. We don't really fight a lot or anything like that. We all get along really well and we're each others best friends, and I think that's what it takes; to play for each other and not ourselves."

Grayson College faces Bossier Parish May 23 at 4pm CT.
