Ardmore man nabbed in Love County on juvenile rape charge
LOVE COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — Dustin Joseph Brewer of Ardmore was arrested by Love County deputies on Wednesday afternoon. He was wanted by authorities in Carter County.
The Love County Sheriff's Office was notified at 2 p.m. about a $100,000 felony first degree rape warrant for Brewer filed by Carter County authorities. Court documents indicate the alleged victim was under age 14.
Officials said the department's fugitive apprehension unit used "investigative techniques" to track Brewer. He was arrested without incident just before 4 p.m.
Because the warrant is out of Carter County, Brewer, 31, will be booked there for felony first degree rape.
While no other details about this case have been provided, Oklahoma Statute Title 21 Section 1115 says a guilty verdict in a first degree rape case is punishable by death or imprisonment at least five years to life, or life without parole.
