SADLER, Texas (KTEN) — All classes in the S&S Consolidated Independent School District were canceled Wednesday due to an early morning online threat.

"The person claimed to be a student, but used a name that is not in our system," Superintendent Roger Reed explained in a message to parents. "We canceled school for the day and contacted the Grayson County Sheriff's Office so they could begin an investigation."

Reed said administrators do not feel there is any imminent danger to the district, which serves nearly 1,000 students at three campuses.

"Obviously, at 6:30 this morning we could not be certain; therefore school was called off," he said.

The superintendent added that the district expects regular classes to resume on Thursday.
